vs. Nevada on Monday, September 28

The Webster City JV improved to 3-2 Last night with a 27-14 victory at Nevada.  The Lynx got on the board first with a 35-yard run by Aaron Hoffman with a successful extra point  by Lucas Daniels to put Webster City up, 7-0.  The Lynx then took a 14-0 lead when Cody Roosa blocked a punt and Nick Olmstead recovered it in the end zone for a touchdown.  In the 3rd quarter, Aaron Hoffman again scored, this time on 75-yard run; however, the extra point was no good to give Webster City a 20-0 advantage.  Early in the 4th quarter the Lynx scored again when Austin Myers ran the ball in from 3-yards out and with another successful Daniel's kick, put  Webster City on top, 27-0.  Nevada added two late scores with under 3 minutes remaining to make it a respectable 27-14 showing.

The Lynx JV improved to 2-1 on the season with a 20-6 win over Ballard last night at home.   The Lynx opened the scoring in the first with a 60-yard pass from Austin Myers to Cody Roosa.  The PAT failed to make it 6-0.  Webster City struck again in the 2nd quarter with Roosa again doing the scoring, this time on a on a 78-yard counter run to make it 12-0 as the 2-point conversion failed.  In the 3rd quarter both the Lynx and Bombers were scoreless but early in the final period Webster City scored again, this time on a 1-yard touchdown run by Austin Myers; Myers' touchdown was set up on the previous play on a nice 41-yard reception by Brandon Carlson and the 2-point conversion was good as caught by Lucas Daniels from Myers.  Ballard added a score in the 4th quarter to make the final 20-6.

vs. Gilbert on Monday, August 30th

The Webster City JV opened the season with a win Monday night at home 12-7.  The Lynx Defense Played well all night and did not give up a score until Gilbert scored on a 70 yard run with 12 seconds remaining in the game.  The Lynx defense played very well and the following people and more contributed:  Chris Goodrich had a fumble recovery, Alex Hinz, Carter Lenning, Nathan Nuehring, and Chandler Peck all had QB sacks.  On offense the Lynx got better as the game went on.  The first touchdown was scored in the second quarter on a 16 yard run by Austin Myers and the 2-point conversion failed.  In the third quarter the Lynx scored on another touchdown run by Austin Myers, this time a 21-yard scamper and again the 2-point attempt failed.
