Twice-or-Thrice Named All-State Players
Since 1912—there
have been over 130
total Lynx football players who have earned All-State honors ranging from the
1-7th Teams to both the Honorable Mention and Academic squads.
However, to date, only 23 Webster City
High School players have ever earned All-State honors more than once which also includes Don Rollins who is one of the only
preps in the history of Iowa to be named to two different positions in the same
season—a feat he accomplished in 1985 when he was named as both a Punter and Running Back.
As well, Bill Chauncey and Ryan Reasland are the only players to ever be named
to three different squads: as a sophomore, Chauncey earned Honorable
Mention honors as a tackle before being moved to fullback where he earned 6th
and 1st team honors, respectively, as a junior and senior while Reasland was
named All-State twice as a
player in 1991 and 1992 and once as an Academic All-Stater in 1992.
