W.H. Rockey
1930-33

The late Ward H. Rockey hailed from Fairfield and was a graduate of Simpson College and the Northwestern State Teachers College in Oklahoma. Rockey came to Webster City via Jefferson High School where he was a successful basketball and football coach. During the four short years he was the Lynx head coach, two of the four squads he coached had winning records—the 1931 and 1932 teams went 5-5 and 4-3-1, respectively. Overall, Rockey collected 14 wins, 18 losses, and 3 ties during his tenure at Webster City High School.
