Miscellaneous Information

• This was the first season that the Lynx started playing at the new stadium (west of high school)
• 1963 marked new practice/conditioning rules for Iowa preps:  no contact for the first four days of practice
• Webster City's defense held Eagle Grove to a mere 80 total yards and only 3 net rushing yards
• Head Coach Harley Rollinger won his 100th game in Week #2 against Algona as Webster City's head coach
• The Lynx's loss to Carroll Kuemper was just their second defeat in 47 games
• Prior to the game vs. Iowa Falls, Webster City was ranked #5 in the state by the Iowa Associated Press poll
• Webster City finished with a Final U.P.I. ranking of #10 while the Des Moines Register tabbed them #14
• The Lynx racked up 2,277 rushing yards and 1,290 passing yards
• For attendance, Webster City had 9,156 total fans
