Miscellaneous Information

• For only the third time since 1996, the Lynx had a winning record and for the first time since '96, won more than 7 games
• For the first time since 1996, Webster City played for the District Championship in the regular season finale
• Webster City qualified for the Class 3A playoffs for the first time since 1996
• For the second straight season, the Lynx led District 2 in rushing
• Punt returner Nate Treibel led all of Class 3A in punt returns with a total of 355 yards, 18.7 average, and 2 TDs
• Punter Ryan Vande Zande was second in Class 3A with a total of 1,372 yards and 41.6 average
• Running back Ross Haren had a 97-yard touchdown vs. Eagle Grove--believed to be the longest in school history
• In 2008, the IAHSAA expanded the number of teams that could qualify for the playoffs from 16 to 32 by adding a Substate game; regardless, even under the old system the Lynx still would have qualified for the playoffs as they were the District Runner-up
